At that time i was a &#8220;child&#8221; who only know use VB.NET to creat old fashion GUI Application. At that time I prefer find a app than creat one by my-996-self.Not crazy about coding.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>The Beginning<\/h4>\n<p>The meaningful time is about 2016.Microsoft released <strong>Universal Windows Platform<\/strong>(<strong>UWP<\/strong>) Framework,coder can code one sample to publish in Windows 10 destop\/Windows 10 mobile\/XBoxOne. I was so attracted to learn <strong>UWP<\/strong> by Channel 9&#8217;s video.I learned how to use XAML to design an interface\/space and studied .NET syntax. From compiling a simple calculator to run on my Windows 10 PC and my Lumia phone, to flashing Windows 10 IoT on a Raspberry Pi and running my self-built local network media server&mdash;those were wonderful times.Back then, in China, platforms like NetEase Cloud Music were among the first to support the <strong>UWP<\/strong> framework, bringing countless surprises to users. Unfortunately, we, the 1%, still lost in market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Breaking Point<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"264\">When I transitioned my career, I discovered that many in the industry were still using <strong>WinForms <\/strong>for application development. In terms of design efficiency, UI aesthetics, and even performance, I felt that it was something that shouldn&rsquo;t be held onto in this era.&nbsp;Thanks to the challenges I faced while learning <strong>UWP<\/strong>, I was able to get started with WPF very quickly&mdash;and I realized that <strong>WPF <\/strong>was the true native supporter of XAML. From highly efficient and beautiful GUI design to MVVM and dependency injection, everything made application development feel incredibly elegant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-8 text-message relative flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 whitespace-normal break-words text-start [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"281ef910-93f2-4edf-807c-cdbbee2e4542\" data-message-model-slug=\"gpt-4o\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert dark\">\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"119\">Compared to my peers, those doing Qt desktop development are still designing applications in a WinForms-style manner.With <strong>WPF<\/strong>, I can find many excellent open-source controls on GitHub to enhance the UI (I especially like WPF-UI project&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/lepoco\/wpfui\">https:\/\/github.com\/lepoco\/wpfui<\/a> ). In contrast to the paths I didn&rsquo;t choose(MAUI WinUI\/WinApp)WPF appears to be much simpler and more efficient.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"119\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"119\">Wishes<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"119\">In today&rsquo;s world of mobile Internet and Cloud-Native , being able to do desktop development might be a kind of fortune.
